Chengdu IFS International Finance Center (Chengdu IFS) is located at the intersection of Hongxing Road and Chunxi Road in Jinjiang District, Chengdu. It is a flagship urban complex project invested and built by the Wharf Group in mainland China. The project has a total construction area of approximately 760,000 square meters, consisting of four towers and a large shopping mall, with the main tower reaching a height of 248 meters, making it one of the super high-rise buildings in downtown Chengdu. Since its opening in 2014, IFS has quickly become a commercial benchmark in Chengdu and even Southwest China. Its 'Panda Climbing Wall' installation has become a city-level internet-famous check-in spot, with an average daily visitor flow exceeding 100,000.
Overview
Chengdu IFS International Finance Center is a typical 'metro-on-top' TOD project, directly connected to Chunxi Road Station on Metro Lines 2 and 3, with its underground level seamlessly linked to Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street. The overall project was designed by the internationally renowned architectural design firm KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox), adopting a modernist style with a facade combining glass curtain walls and stone, emphasizing vertical lines and geometric rhythm. The shopping mall portion comprises seven floors (from basement level 2 to above-ground level 5), housing over 600 brands, of which about 30% are first stores or flagship stores in Southwest China. The project also includes two Grade-A office buildings, a Niccolo Hotel, and a high-end serviced apartment, forming a complete business ecosystem.
